Arcade racers could use some new mechanics. And this is what Inertial Drift is doing. It’s an arcade racer with a 90s retro-future aesthetic, and you use the right analog stick to drift alongside the left stick to turn. Twin-stick drifting.
Inertial Drift was initially scheduled to be released sometime in spring, but that has been moved a bit. The game is now scheduled for release in August instead.
When the game comes out, expect intense 1-on-1 races against AI opponents, ghosts, or other players (online and offline) over 20 different tracks.
Inertial Drift will be out on PS4, PC (Steam), Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on August 7th.
