Licensed video games had a bad rep, they were done with very little time and very little budget. But hey, if you’re young at the time and was so into these cartoons you might not care.
But would you revisit them now? THQ Nordic and Nickelodeon hope so, as they are partnering up to remaster various licensed games in the past. As THQ, the company has made a lot of these, and the properties that may receive the remaster treatment is as follows:
- Avatar: The Last Airbender
- Back at the Barnyard
- Catscratch
- Danny Phantom
- El Tigre
- Invader Zim
- Jimmy Neutron
- My Life as a Teenage Robot
- Rocket Power
- Rocko’s Modern Life
- Rugrats
- SpongeBob SquarePants
- Tak and the Power of Juju
- The Fairly OddParents
- The Ren & Stimpy Show
- The Wild Thornberrys
There’s plenty of games across these properties, some of them are better than it should (SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom was quite decent) but some are better left forgotten. Let’s hope THQ Nordic isn’t in the business of just releasing all of these games, even the bad ones, back to market without making significant changes.
