The Quarry’s Online Multiplayer Won’t Be Ready At Launch, Delayed To July

Supermassive Games’ big new horror game The Quarry will have the option to play out the story via online multiplayer. But unfortunately, it won’t be available at launch as the devs have announced the feature’s delay.

“We’ve made the difficult decision to delay the online multiplayer mode to deliver the best possible experience for you,” said a statement by The Quarry director Will Byles.

The delay pushes The Quarry’s online multiplayer to July 8, as a post-launch update, four weeks after launch to be precise.

Local co-op and movie mode (where you just watch The Quarry as if it’s a horror movie- which it kind of is in a way) will be available at launch, alongside the single-player campaign.

The Quarry looks to be a good spiritual follow-up to the developers’ previous big horror game Until Dawn, and meatier than their Dark Pictures Anthology offerings.
