The Outer Worlds, Obsidian’s hit RPG from 2019, is getting a new release in the form of The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition.
The Spacer’s Choice Edition contains the two DLCs (Murder on Eridanos and Peril on Gorgon), an increased level cap and visual improvements.
These improved visuals include a dynamic weather system, changes to the lighting and environment, performance and load time improvements, and enhanced details on characters.
Virtuos is also involved in the development of The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition.
This version of The Outer Worlds is technically a remaster, considering the visual tweaks made. Though you may need to watch the trailer a few more times to really see how much of the visuals have changed.

If you own The Outer Worlds and its two DLCs already on PS4, Xbox One or PC, you are eligible to upgrade to the Spacer’s Choice Edition. It’s not a free next-gen upgrade, however. It should cost $9.99 USD (more or less RM44) to upgrade. And that includes for PC, too.
The Outer Worlds has been a hit for Obsidian and publisher Private Division. But the partnership likely won’t be continuing as the developer has now joined Xbox. A sequel has been teased back in 2021.

If you haven’t played The Outer Worlds yet, or only tried it out a bit on Game Pass previously, this new edition is the complete edition to get. It’s no Fallout New Vegas, but the setting makes for a compelling RPG. You can check out our review of The Outer Worlds here.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition will arrive on March 7 for the PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S.
