The Outer Worlds For Switch Will Now Be Coming In June, Includes A Physical Release

The Outer Worlds was set for a Switch release this month, but that did not came to be. The port makers at Virtuous was directly impacted by the current pandemic. Things have improved over there, and now developer Obsidian has shared a new release date for one of our favourite games of 2019.

The new release will also mean that it now has a physical cartridge release. However, there will be a need to download a day-one patch, up to 6GB in size that will “optimize gameplay, provide additional hi-res textures, and include other fixes to provide the employees of Halcyon with the best gameplay experience.”

The Outer Worlds will now be coming to Switch on June 5th. The game is out now on PS4, PC (Epic Games Store), and Xbox One.
