FromSoftware’s next game, the Switch 2-exclusive PVPVE game The Duskbloods, is now officially delayed. The game will now launch in 2027.
“While development of The Duskbloods is at the final adjustment stage, we have made the decision to move the launch window to 2027,” the announcement on socials read.
“Adjustments to game rules and balancing” will be done during this final leg of development. FromSoft cites the reception of the previous network test, as players engage in “combat, strategic depth, and player expression” and are now looking to enhance those parts of the game.
The Duskbloods looks to be the natural progression of ideas from Elden Ring Nightreign, which was a co-op take on the soulslike action-RPG with faster pace with a game loop straight out of a battle royale. This new IP however doubles down on making characters with unique movesets, and of course, the aforementioned PVP element.
The Duskbloods will launch sometime in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2.
