The Division 2 Battle For Brooklyn DLC Releases This May

The Division 2 is still alive and it’s getting new DLC this May.

Titled Battle For Brooklyn, the second DLC for Ubisoft Massive’s cover-based looter-shooter will see Agents visiting “post-pandemic New York during fall for the first time”.

(Yeah, The Division’s premise is based on a pandemic that collapsed society and you are one of many sleeper agents attempting to restore order, wild isn’t it that it was almost too real?)

This is a new map based on two Brooklyn neighbourhoods: Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo. The new linear campaign (playable solo and in co-op) will see you facing against the Rikers and Cleaners expanding out of Manhattan as they start to threaten the otherwise peaceful burough.

The change of season should make for interesting visuals as well. The Division 1 saw New York depicted in the winter, while The Division 2 and the Warlords Of New York DLC has Washington D.C. and the Big Apple appear in summertime.

Battle For Brooklyn also adds new unlockable skills (including the Smart Cover skill straight out of The Division 1).

Alongside the new DLC, The Division team will be improving the onboarding process for new players, adding more depth to endgame and making seasons as the “cornerstone of The Division 2 experience”.

The Division 2 released in 2019 and received 1 DLC, Warlords Of New York the following year. Since then, the drop of new content has been sporadic, with a lot of season re-runs and the game yet to have a native PS5 and Xbox Series version, but things have picked up again, especially now as the game enters Year 7 of support.

The Division 2 Battle For Brooklyn DLC launches on May 27 for the PS4, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect) and Xbox One.
