Would you believe it that Ubisoft’s open-world racer, The Crew 2, is reaching 5 years since it’s launch back in 2018? It has been quite a ride for this racing title, with updates of the game coming each year that changes things up what you can do within this the confines of this game’s version of the US.
And it looks like Ivory Tower is making sure it’s 5th anniversary is coming with substantial updates, which includes a graphics refresh and the much anticipated next-gen versions of the game with 60fps frame-rate.
The next-gen update is coming for both PS5 and Xbox Series X (sorry Series S owners), which sees the game getting the same frame-rate as the PC version, alongside the new weather and color-grading that the devs mention in the announcement trailer. 3 cars will also be getting handling modifications, which will see them gradually updated to more cars within the end of the year.
The Year 5 Update for The Crew 2 will drop sometime in July. But in the meantime, the latest season of their Motorflix escapade, aka Season 5 of Year 4, launches this Wednesday on 16 March.
