The Brujah Are A Playable Clan In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is revealing one of the five playable clans, outside of the starting ‘clan’ the Thinbloods, every week. And this week we got the Brujah confirmed to be returning in playable form.

The Brujah are essentially the brute and rebel of the vampire clans. Their numbers in Seattle, Bloodlines 2’s setting, are not that much and they reject the established vampire politics surrounding them. Brujahs are also cursed with frenzy, where you are stronger and faster at the cost of losing humanity.

If you like fisticuffs, moving fast and stand up against the status quo by any means necessary, the Brujah is definitely for you.

Potency and Celerity are the available disciplines for the Brujah in Bloodlines 2, similar to the first game.

Potency gives you raw strength. The Fist Of Cain power lets you punch through wall, throw enemies in the air, and even tear off limbs. The other power, Earthshock, lets you do what is essentially a ground pound.

Celerity gives you speed. The first active power is Unseen Storm where you dash so quick you momentarily disappear. The other power, Accelerate, makes you move so fast everything else is in slow-motion. Essentially bullet time.

While you need to choose either Brujah or the four other clans, you still get to keep your Thinblood powers too.

Traditionally, each vampire clan will grant you three disciplines, but Bloodlines 2 is limiting that to 2 plus 1 Thinblood discipline. As explained in the reveal stream, each discipline has two active powers, so eight active powers is a bit too much to juggle. But it also adds the benefit that the five playable clans on launch will vary greatly in gameplay.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be out in Q1 2020 for the PS4, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Paradox Store) and the Xbox One.
