The ASUS TUF gaming laptop line is a pretty solid one, literally. At CES 2020, ASUS showcased a refresh of the gaming laptops now with the TUF Gaming A15 and A17.
The 15.6″ and 17.3″ laptops will be powered by the new AMD Ryzen 4000 Series Mobile CPUs and will pair up with Nvidia’s line of GPUs. A similar setup to last year’s offering.
What’s not similar is the new exterior design. It’s now more compact but still retains that rugged aesthetic and the MIL-STD-810H standards- it’s military-grade hardware. It comes with two colours: Fortress Gray and Bonfire Black, each with their own design flair- not just a colour swap.
There is an option for a bigger battery, up to 90W. RAM and storage slots are easily accessible with standard Phillips screws for future upgrades.
Here’s the specs for the ASUS TUF Gaming A15:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 4000 Series Mobile Processors
- GPU: Up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060
- RAM: Up to 32GB DDR4
- Storage: NVMe SSD up to 1TB
- Display: 15.6″ 1080p IPS 144Hz
And this is for the bigger ASUS TUF Gaming A17:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 4000 Series Mobile Processors
- GPU: Up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660Ti
- RAM: Up to 32GB DDR4
- Storage: NVMe SSD up to 1TB
- Display: 17.3″ 1080p IPS 120Hz
This is not the only models of the TUF Gaming laptops. Coming later this year will be the TUF F15 and F17, powered by 10th-gen Intel Core CPUs.
