The indie open-world adventure game Tchia will not be out by 2022, as developers Awaceb and publisher Kepler Interactive announced that the game is now slated for 2023.
“After 3 years of passion and hard work, we owe it to ourselves and everyone who has been supportive to deliver the best game we possibly can,” the post on Twitter reads.
The delay will afford the devs more time for polishing the game.
The announcement came together with the release of a new gameplay trailer, showing more of the sights and sounds of this game inspired by the islands of New Caledonia. The focus here is exploring the ocean depths, where your character can sail with a raft, dive for oysters and even sail up the river.
Tchia will now be out sometime in 2023 for the PS4, PS5 and Epic Games Store.
