Indie developer Butterscotch Shenanigans shared a new trailer for Crashlands 2. The original Crashlands takes a lot of ques from survival crafting games like Don’t Starve. Though for the sequel, it’s also taking inspiration from the cosier side of gaming.
The new trailer shows how you can build a cabin, farm, fish, make friends with the locals, decorate housing and have pets.
The trailer itself is cosy too, without the usual narrator just saying stuff as it was in the original announcement trailer.
Crashlands 2 is still about crafting weapons and fighting against aliens on the planet you crash landed on. But you can take the a wholesome approach to the survival crafting game, which is nice.
The new trailer also serves as an announcement that the game won’t be out in 2024. It’s been delayed. No exact release date is given for now.
Crashlands 2 will crash land on PC (Steam) and mobile via Netflix in Q1 2025.
