A new update for Stellar Blade is set to launch today. Update 1.003 adds a Boss Challenge mode where you can go back and beat up the bosses you have faced so far.
You can only fight bosses you have beaten, and once you’ve finished the story, you can challenge these bosses again on Hard difficulty.
You can bring your own loadout to the Boss Challenge mode, or use presets available. These includes a fully upgraded Eve with all skills and stats buffed and a minimum preset for the challenge lovers and/or masochists out there.
Defeating all bosses will unlock a new outfit for Eve. In addition, there are two new outfits for a total of three to be added with this update.
And lastly, there’s also some quality of life improvements to Stellar Blade. There is now an option to automatically engage lock-on when switching from ranged attacks. The camera disengages lock-on when you aim your range attack, so during boss fights, pulling out the drone gun can often lead to a few moments of annoyance where you realise you’re not locked-on to the boss (or any other enemy for that matter).
Also, there’s an option to always show the compass.
Stellar Blade is out now on PS5. Check out our review here.
