Speed Drifters Is A New Mobile Racing Game By Garena And Tencent, Now Available In Southeast Asia

Garena is launching a new mobile game for Southeast Asia. Tencent Timi Studio’s mobile racing game QQ Speed is now available in Southeast Asia, with the title Speed Drifters.

Speed Drifters is an arcade racing game, something in the lines of Mario Kart. There are multiple tracks and cars to choose from, with tons of upgrades and cosmetic options for your avatar, as expected from a free-to-play game.

At launch, there are four modes of play. That’s Solo speed, Team speed, Solo items and Team items. So you can race as a team or go solo, and toggle items on and off. Additionally, there are other events as well like Giant Rally and Gold War.

Aside from racing, there’s also a social space to mingle around, clubs to join and form a community, built-in live streaming support and also… marriage? A marriage system is usually seen in MMORPGs from this side of the world, but in a racing game? That’s a new one.

Speed Drifters is available now for in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Download it on the Google Play Store here.

Recently, Garena and Tencent have signed a five-year agreement where Garena gets first dibs on any Tencent game the company wishes to bring to Southeast Asia. Garena has published other Tencent games before in the form of Arena Of Valor and Contra: Return.
