Screen Stocks Has You Hedging Bets In A Multiplayer Stock Trading Simulator That’s Also An Incremental Game

Think you can make money off the stock market? Don’t bet, try this game with a one-time purchase instead of gambling your life savings away. Screen Stocks, developed by Conradical Games published by Oro Interactive is part idle game, part desktop companion, but most importantly, it’s a multiplayer trading game where you’re trading stocks online, against other real players.

You’re buying low and selling high against fellow stock degenerates who are also trying to do the same thing. Like an MMO. Or like, actual stock exchange, but again, with no real-money trading hands.

Like actual stocks, the trading activity in Screen Stocks will send the graphs and numbers go up and down accordingly. A big purchase will send its value flying high, but rapid sells of stocks will see its pricing go tumbling down.

To really hone down the multiplayer aspect, you can join clans in Screen Stocks. Between the Golden Bulls, the Cobalt Whales or the Copper Bears, you too can coordinate a pump-and-dump scheme en messe. The Screen Stocks community don’t hang out on Reddit though, they are talking stonks on the game’s official Discord server.

You don’t need to be an active trader to play Screen Stocks. The game can run on the desktop as a desktop companion app. Aside from the entire buy-low-sell-high allure of actual stock trading, Screen Stocks is technically an incremental game (i.e. idle game, clicker) where you can prestige, complete levels and automate actions via upgrades you can spend on. So it’s also a numbers-go-up game in that sense as well.

If you’re tired of being bombarded by stock broker ads when you are yourself broke, Screen Stocks might be something for you. The game is priced for “less than a coffee and probably a better investment,” as the press release says.

At its full price of RM13.99, “less than a coffee” is still applicable if you compare it to coffee shop offerings here in Malaysia (canned coffee, and the pre-mixed coffees offered at your local mamak are still much cheaper though).

Screen Stocks is out now on PC (Steam).
