Atlus proudly announced that Shin Megami Tensei V has now sold over 2 million copies. The latest enhanced version of the game, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance released last year, has sold more than 1 million copies.
These are worldwide sales numbers that also includes digital copies.
SMT V: Vengeance sold half a million copies in its first three days of release, but almost an entire year to double that amount.
A new artwork by long-time character designer Masayuki Doi has been shared to commemorate the milestone, featuring the SMT V protagonist in his new-for-Vengeance Nahobino form.

The latest numbered entry of the RPG series with way too many spin-offs first released in 2021 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. The enhanced version, Vengeance, not only adds a second story route for this 80-hour RPG, but also tons of quality-of-life changes, improvements and additional content that brings this demon-recruiting, alignment-picking, press-turn-based combat RPG to its full potential. Not to mention a banger of a soundtrack, for those who crave slightly-eerie dance music.
