Here’s a cool concept for an FPS. Why not play as someone with only one arm? Severed Steel, from Greylock Studio, is doing just that.
In Severed Steel, you play as Steel who get her arm… severed.. in an accident at the start of the game. Now she’s seeking retribution against the corporation that caused her injury.
With only one arm, Steel can’t reload guns in this game. Instead, she can keep grabbing new guns, either laid around the environments or snatched from dead enemies.
Also, she’s also acrobatic, to the point that each time she does a traversal move, every shot from an enemy is a guarantee miss and also triggers bullet-time.
Later in Severed Steel, you’ll also get an arm cannon that can properly destroy walls and other parts of the environment. The environment is made up of voxels, so expect some crunchy destruction similar to games like Teardown.
Severed Steel is coming to PS4 and PC.
