Sega Teasing New Project From Bullfrog and Lionhead Studios Veterans

Expect another strategy game from Sega Europe

Many may know Sega as the Japanese publishers behind very Japanese games like the Yakuza series and Persona series (Atlus is now owned by Sega), but its Europe arm has been focusing on the PC side, helping the PC ports of Bayonetta and Vanquish last year and has a sizeable portfolio of strategy games like Football Manager and the upcoming Total War: Three Kingdoms.

Sega is now teasing another new project.

Early reports such as the one from PC Gamer suggests it will be a strategy/management game in the veins of Theme Hospital. This is due to developers Two Point Studios announcing that on the website they have a deal with Sega Europe. The studio is made up of Bullfrog and Lionhead Studios Veterans.

“Think: Theme Hospital, Black & White, Startopia, Fable, The Movies… We think what we’re working on reflects the heyday of those great companies and games, and hope you will too!” the statement on the website.

More recently, Sega updated its teaser with the Two Point Studios logo, confirming that the early reports do hold some truth.

Now is the matter of knowing what exactly the game will be. Theme Hospital was a quirky hospital management game where you hire doctors and build facilities to treat oddball diseases, one including blowing up an already inflated head and then pump back some air in.

A fun-focused strategy game should not be a far-fetched guess, but we will know in due time tomorrow.
