Season 3 Of Forza Racing Championship Will End With A Race In Le Mans

Le Mans is the premier 24 hour racing event, and in partnership with Porsche and the organizers Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), the last event for Season 3 of the Forza Racing Championship will culminate there as well.

Over 100 gamers will join the race drivers at the circuit of La Sarthe during Le Mans with a prize pool of $100,000 USD. The Forza RC event is classified under the Official Endurance Esports Category, which means the podium finishes will be on the same podium as the other race drivers during the victory celebration.

This is one close partnership that developers Turn 10 had established, but it has come from years sponsoring Le Mans. Having the opportunity to host and celebrate the virtual racers alongisde the real ones is one cool way to give exposure, as well legitimacy to motorsports esports.

Motorsports in particular have been accepting esports with open arms as of late. With interests from both the gaming side (publishers and developers) and the motorsport organisations, we will only see bigger partnerships to come from the racing scene.
