Scarlet Nexus is a new action RPG by Bandai Namco Studios- the developer team based in Japan (with studios in Singapore and Malaysia) featuring former team members that worked on the Tales Of series, including Tales Of Vesperia.
Scarlet Nexus see a world of mutants called Others fall from the sky, and psionics under the Other Suppresion Force have to fight them. The city of New Himuka has a “brain punk” aesthetic, as they call it.
This was revealed during the Inside Xbox “gameplay” stream, and it so far, it looks like an Xbox exclusive.
The combat looks like an action RPG, with plenty of psychic powers ala Control.
“Scarlet Nexus aims to change the way gamers view Japanese RPGs with a powerful futuristic aesthetic as well as a streamlined combat system that balances fast-paced action with strategic planning,” said Stephen Akana, Senior Brand Manager for Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. on the Xbox Wire post.
Scarlet Nexus will be out soon for Xbox One and Xbox Series X, with Smart Delivery Supported.
