Do you like video game inventories where you have to carefully arrange items into a limited slot, rotating them if need be? If you love games with inventory Tetris such as Resident Evil 4 or Deus Ex Human Revolution, you’d love the idea of Save Room.
Save Room, by indie devs Fractal Projects, gives you all the time in the world to organise your inventory, as that’s the whole game. Fit all your guns, ammo and other items into your limited-sized inventory. In essence, Save Room is a puzzle game.
And it’s fun puzzle game concept too. Maybe not as fun when it’s dead-stopping the momentum in your survival horror game as you painstakingly arrange slots and you’re the kind of person who needs to have everything in order. But still, if you love this video of the now-disbanded Super Best Friends Play stumbling around in “Attache Case HD”, you’ll likely love Save Room:
As the name implies and its aesthetic choices, Save Room is very much influenced by the influential survival horror game, and it looks to be part of the gameplay as well.
Can’t fit the ammo mag? Why not reload it into the gun that uses that ammo? Herbs of variable colour taking too much space? If your life is low you can use the herbs right now. Not only can gunpowders and herbs can be consumed, they can also be combined.
There are 40 levels of inventory Tetris included in Save Room.
Save Room is now available on PC via Steam for RM5.50.
