Sega and Sports Interactive have now made Football Manager 27 available to wishlist on Steam and Epic Games Store, effectively confirm its expected release on the PC platform.
FM27 will also be featuring for the first time in the series, Indonesian language. The game is now localised in the language that millions of people speak in a specific part of the world.
To celebrate the occasion, Sega Asia’s YouTube channel features a new Deep Dive video with Indonesian subtitles. The same video is available on Football Manager’s channel, as it discuss this year’s football management game’s greater commitment in presenting a deeper football world.
The news content, reported by in-world journalists, will now have wider reporting covering club previews, mid-season check-ins and title runs. Any news pertaining to your club will be forwarded to your inbox, which is per usual. But there will now be more job speculation reports.
The club screen, the first thing that opens when you click on a club’s name, have been redesigned with a better overview of info, including current manager, key players (like top scorer), a rundown on their players and positions, and news.
The news screen isn’t populated by the For You tab anymore, reverting back to featuring specific tabs like transfers, and world news.
Competition screen now highlights the latest results, upcoming fixtures, and even team of the week. The latter is something you usually only see through the inbox if your own player makes it, rather than something you see naturally unless it is being seeked out.
There’s a new competitions hub screen that shows the table of all leagues the save is simulating.
Player screen now highlights a player career and history as its own dedicated screen. Navigating between players in the same squad is much easier through “quick flicks.”
Cup draws in FM27 will be like previous entries where you can see clubs being drawn in one-by-one.
Transfer Deadline is now an event again with a specific UI. You can now see agent offers for a player increasing as you approach the deadline, in the hours.
Data from the data hub should be easier to access. Also, heat maps are back.
A lot of these features that are improvements to FM27 are more or less bringing back features FM26 lacked. The game went to a complete overhaul, including a game engine change, which so much effort that it missed a year of release, there was no FM25 in 2024.
FM27 looks set to be back as another iterative entry, though one that focuses on bringing back missing features than it is setting sights on adding big-name enhancements. Which is all well and fine for the diehard spreadsheet lovers out there, but not as exciting for the casuals that don’t buy these games annually.
Football Manager 27 is set to release sometime this year.
