Rocksteady Studios has been very quiet throughout this whole generation. While early rumours we heard that the team behind the Batman Arkham series is making a Superman game, it was not quite true.
Rather, it’s about the Suicide Squad. Supes is there though, but he’s not the hero, you’re here to kill him. And the rest of the Justice League.
The game will set in Metropolis and features Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark. It’s a “new genre-bending action-adventure shooter” with up to four-player online co-op. Though in single-player, you can swap between any character at any time, each with their own different moveset.
Just like Gotham Knights, which was announced at the same time as this game at the DC Fandome livestream event, this too feels like an attempt of a Marvel’s Avengers, curious enough.
It’s still a long way until we see more of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. It’s set for release in 2022 for the PS5, PC and Xbox Series. So it’s firmly a next-gen game.
