Ubisoft announced that Riders Republic beta is now open for everyone to join until August.
This week saw select players joined the beta starting August 23. At the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2021 broadcast, it’s announced that the beta is extended and now anyone can freely download and join in to try the open-world extreme sports game.
The beta gives a glimpse of three different career paths (Bike Races, Snow Tricks, Air Sports) and will include the three multiplayer modes available from before: Mass Races, Versus Mode and Tricks Battle.
In addition, starting August 27 will see the addition of Free For All. 12 players can play through a playlist of events.
In each multiplayer mode, you can experience them with friends in a party of a maximum of 6 players.
Also, restrictions on streaming, creating content or just talking about the Riders Republic beta has now been lifted.
From what we’ve tried out the beta, Riders Republic has some good ideas and the gimmick of being just one of many citizens in this republic of adrenaline junkies shredding through American national parks is realised. Though maybe it needs some work on its course design and recovery mechanics. The Mass Races could’ve been more fun, but it does what you’d expect with the high number of players: a ridiculous adrenaline rush with a vibe that will remind you of Fall Guys or Trackmania.
Riders Republic, after several delays, will be coming to PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on October 28.
