Rainbow Six Extraction Out Now (But Not The Buddy Pass)

Ubisoft’s co-op FPS Rainbow Six Extraction is out now.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal on the leading role and supported by Ubisoft studios in Bucharest, Bordeaux, and Saguenay, the alien-busting tactical shooter for up to three players tasks players as Rainbow Six agents of the new REACT division to recon and eliminate the threat.

Players can choose to play as 18 different operators, with gear customisation and unique abilities to learn. Should a teammate failed to extract, that operator becomes temporarily unavailable, and other risk-reward factors to keep you on edge.

Rainbow Six Extraction was supposed to launch with the Buddy Pass, which allows a player to invite two friends (to fill up a full squad of three) to play Extraction without purchasing the game itself, but up to a period of 14 days.

However, Ubisoft is withholding the Buddy Pass for now until “shortly after launch”. No exact period of time is given on when it’ll be live.

Rainbow Six Extraction is out now on the PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S with a reduced price of RM125 (on PC) for the standard edition (the full-price equivalent for games in MYR is RM249 currently). The game is also available as part of Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
