Rainbow Six Extraction Reveals Lore Trailer, Enemy Overview, PC Specs Requirements

Ubisoft’s 3-player co-op tactical shooter Rainbow Six Extraction is launching next week, and there’s more info being released following the news that it will launch day one on Game Pass (Xbox and PC).

The first is a CG lore trailer showcasing how the alien threat, the Archaeons, arrived in the US. Team Rainbow responds to this menace by forming a new division, REACT.

The R&D division is led by Dr. Elena “Mira” Alvarez (who Rainbow Six Siege players will recognise), and is tasked with gathering info on the Archaean threat. This means a squad of three Rainbow Six operators will go in and do objectives, and try to survive while doing so.

The other new video drop is a gameplay video showing the many different types of “archies” you will be facing. From the usual small suicide bombers to heavily armoured goliaths, there are many ways Rainbow Six Extraction requires you and your two partners to play this like a tactical shooter.

Grenades, mines, and using each operator’s unique ability will give you an advantage over certain Archaeons but not others. And the difficulty only ramps up further should you decide to continue doing more objectives during the run.

Plus, there will also be modifiers that will stack the odds against you, like the one shown in the video where you’ll likely get your vision impeded by green spores.

Finally, there’s the reveal of the PC specs required to run Rainbow Six Extraction.

Here’s the list of 4 specs requirement to run the game at low 1080p (minimum), high 1080p, high 1440p and high 2160p (4K).
