Quake Champions is still in close beta, but after the E3 press conference by Bethesda it will be updated to add new content. Three more maps, a new weapon called the Tri-bolt and new playable champion B.J. Blazkowicz of Wolfenstein fame joins the action.
Alongside that, Quake is continuing its esports legacy with the announcement of Quake World Championships. The $1,000,000 USD prize pool tournament will take place at this year’s Quakecon. The huge prize money would surely attract seasoned pros to get back into the competitive arena shooter.
With no proper release date announced, the beta will keep on continuing, with more people being invited in. If you have not yet signed up, you can do so at this link here.
