Promise Mascot Agency Has A Super Sentai-Inspired Squad Because Of Course It Would Have One

Promise Mascot Agency, Kaizen Game Works’ latest game continues to be unabashedly weird in a affectionate way.

With its impending release now close, the open world game about an ex-yakuza recruiting and managing mascots with management and card game elements, gets one last trailer revealed during the Future Games Show event.

So what’s left to show? A group of Super Sentai-inspired heroes that can come to the rescue. The Kakashi Heroes, each all colour-coded, leaves up to their name in that they are literally based off of Japanese scarecrows (that’s what “kakashi” translates to). And they can be deployed to save a mascot’s day from perils such as slipping of the stairs and being attacked by a miasma of hate. No, really.

And if getting Takaya Kuroda (famous for his role as the voice of Like A Dragon’s Kazuma Kiryu) to voice an ex-yakuza and a cameo of ex-PlayStation man Shuhei Yoshida, the Kakashi Heroes are designed and painted by Ikumi Nakamura and Mai Mattori. The two talents are from the upstart developer Unseen, though you may have heard Ikumi Nakamura from her appearance on stage promoting The Evil Within 2 back when she was with Tango Gameworks.

The cameo for this Japanese-theme game from a UK studio continues.

Promise Mascot Agency will be out on April 10 on PlayStation, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox and Nintendo Switch. A demo is now available.
