Project Motor Racing Shows New Tracks, Manufacturers And Features In New Trailer

Ahead of Gamescom 2025, a new trailer for Project Motor Racing has dropped. The new sim racing game by Straight4 Studios and publisher Giants Software will feature a lot of cars and tracks motorsports fans will be excited for, or rather, what they would expect.

The first thing is in the thumbnail itself. Cars from Porsche and Ford will feature in Project Motor Racing. We get to see the brand-new Ford Mustang GT4, as well as multiple legendary race-winning Porsches from multiple decades. The 917K that roared in the 70s to the Group C 962C of the 80s, and from the 911 GT1 of the 90s to 963 in the current golden age of sports car racing, they’re all here.

Speaking of the top class of sports car racing, the trailer also confirms the Aston Martin Valkyrie will join the Hypercar class grid alongside the Porsche 963 and the previously revealed Lamborghini SC63 (which unfortunately has stopped racing in real-life).

The trailer also confirms three iconic tracks: Spa-Francorchamps, Mount Panorama, Bathurst and the green hell that is Nürburgring Nordschleife. Project Motor Racing features full dynamic time and weather, so endurance racing on these fabled grounds, will be something to look forward to. Fog, wet and damp surfaces, and various levels of available sunlight are seen in the trailer.

Content-wise, Project Motor Racing promises to include:

  • 70 cars across 10+ “definitive racing classes”
  • 18 scanned locations (not counting different track configurations)
  • Crossplay ranked multiplayer
  • “True2Track” (dynamic weather and time system)
  • mods on PC and on consoles
  • “Survival-style” career mode

Straight4 Studios are comprised of developers behind the Project CARS series, which have an extensive history of making sim racing games including the Need For Speed Shift series and GTR. With the backing of the publisher behind Farming Simulator series (which has been financially successful), Project Motor Racing attempts to portray 50 years worth of motorsports history with its car and track selection.

UPDATE 20/08/25: Sega has announced that it will be oversee the production and distribution of Project Motor Racing in Japan and Asia under a new sub-publishing agreement with Giants Software. Sega has also provided similar responsibilities for Giants’ previous big release, Farming Simulator 25.

Project Motor Racing goes racing on November 25 for the PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S.
