You can now pre-order the upcoming narrative RPG Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong.
Pre-ordering the digital version will net you the base game, an alternate outfits pack and a copy of Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York. This is a text adventure/visual novel by Draw Distance and can be accessible right away.
Digital pre-order is now live on PC (Epic Games Store), priced at RM93.99 in Malaysia. It’s also available for PS4 and PS5 on PlayStation Store Asia for RM249.
Pre-order for the physical edition swaps the Corteries Of New York game with an original soundtrack vinyl.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, developed by Big Bad Wolf (the team that made The Council, and now one of two subsidiaries under developers Cyanide) has you play as three different members of the Boston Camarilla, investigating a recent attack.
As Galeb Bazory, Emem Louis, and Leysha, you must find answers and make use of your ability, natural or from your vampire blood, to get to the bottom of this.
It’s like a narrative game, but instead of just flow charts of decisions that will lead you to different outcomes, the characters, playable and non-playable, have a character sheet and follow the rules of the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop game. That’s where the RPG bit comes in, as you can build your characters to specialise in specific actions, or use resources to get past a particular encounter.
There will be fifteen endings for the characters and the fate of the Boston Camarilla, so how you approach each problem will lead you down a unique path.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong launches on May 19 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. A release on Nintendo Switch will be coming later this year.
