Powerwash Simulator Gets Free Update, Shares 2023 Roadmap

Prepare for some more good high-pressure scrubbing, as developer FuturLab has announced a roadmap of upcoming content for the indie hit Powerwash Simulator.

The first content on the roadmap, Update 1.2 or The Muchingham Files update, is now live beginning today. The update adds more jobs, like visiting the Mauka Aito Desert again to clean a Solar water Plant and a Satellite Dish.

The already-available bonus jobs in that area also have new stories, for the lore hounds out there. So more reason to replay previous jobs.

As part of the 2023 roadmap, Update 1.2 is the one free update coming this quarter (Q2), with the next content being paid DLC- the first for the game.

In Q3 2023, expect one free update, another paid DLC and some “exciting news”.

And finally, by Q4 2023, expect a free seasonal content update plus 1 DLC.

Powerwash Simulator has only made available free DLC in the form of a crossover with Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII.

Published by Square Enix Collective, the indie publishing label of Square Enix based in London, Powerwash Simulator has mesmerised players for its soothing, deliberately simple and tedious gameplay that is washing up filthy objects with high-pressure water jets. It’s surprisingly fun and fulfilling, and it has enough players to continue getting post-launch updates.

Powerwash Simulator is out now on PS4, PC (Steam) and Xbox One. The game is currently available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
