Put away that Buster Sword and pick up a pressure washer, the Midgar Special Pack free DLC for Powerwash Simulator is now available.
The DLC, free, adds five new levels based on Final Fantasy VII to the Powerwash Simulator, the indie game by Futurlab and published under the Square Enix Collective label. This includes the Seventh Heaven bar and the Mako Energy Exhibit.
Familiar vehicles from FFVII including the Hardy Dayton, Shinra Hauler, the Scorpion Sentinel and the Airbuster are all dirty and grimy, and you’re here to complete your commission of cleaning them all. Either solo or with party members via online multiplayer.
“We designed Midgar, the city of Mako in 1997. Who would have thought that we would be returning to these iron buildings in 2023 to wash off all the oil and dirt with a power washer? Now let’s get to work, over 25 years of filth isn’t going away without a fight,” said Yoshinori Kitase, Final Fantasy VII director and project producer of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
“When I heard about the proposal for a collab, I was quite busy with various other collabs and reviews, but I was especially excited about this one,” said Tetsuya Nomura, Final Fantasy VII character designer and FFVII Remake Project creative director.
“I had just been playing PowerWash Simulator and was daydreaming about cleaning things from my titles. My immediate response was “let’s wash the entire Shinra building,” Unfortunately, that seemed to be a bit difficult, but the final line-up is exciting, nonetheless.”
It’s cool to see even the developers on FFVII Remake are into Powerwash Simulator. And this will surely turn some of the core fans of Square Enix’s RPG output to take a look at the indie game the publisher has helped create.
Powerwash Simulator is out now on PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Switch. The game is also currently available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
