Ahoy there! Developer FuturLab has revealed the first paid DLC for PowerWash Simulator that will take you under the sea for some nautical nonsense in the form of the SpongeBob Square Pants Special Pack.
The SpongeBob Square Pants Special Pack includes a mini-campaign where you get to clean up six maps: Conch Street, The Bikini Bottom Bus, The Krusty Krab; The Patty Wagon; The Invisible Boatmobile and The Mermalair.
You can expect to clean up the grime over the houses of SpongeBob, Squidward and Patrick Star, the Krusty Krab and more.
The character model is also changed just for these maps, to make them blend in with the residents of Bikini Bottom, though no screenshots of that are seen yet.
Why would you use high-pressure water jets to clean stuff underwater, you ask? It’s a good question that’s better left unanswered.
Still, this collab has made SpongeBob SquarePants one degree separated from Final Fantasy VII since PowerWash Simulator had a collab for that as free DLC. Wild.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack for PowerWash Simulator will be released sometime this summer, late June at the earliest.
In other news, PowerWash Simulator now has seven million players, which is quite a big milestone, especially considering this is an indie game. There’s more content to come to the game, as outlined previously in a roadmap.
PowerWash Simulator is out now on PS4, PC (Steam) and Xbox One. The game is currently available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
