Porsche Asia Pacific Esports Competition Returns In Gran Turismo Sport

After last year’s successful Asia Pacific Forza Cup, Porsche Asia Pacific along with Porsche Japan, Taiwan and Korea are teaming up to create the Porsche Gran Turismo Cup Asia Pacific, where 11 countries will compete in GT Sport to be the best in Asia.

This edition will see sim racers visiting tracks like Le Mans, Fuji Speedway, Mount Panorama, Spa and the Goodwood Motor Circuit in iconic Porsche cars from the Gran Turismo lineup and is accessible within the game’s Sports Mode.

Starting on September 5, here’s the combos for the five round qualifiers:

  • Rd.1 – 2017 911 RSR around Fuji (Sep 5)
  • Rd.2 – 2016 Le Mans 919 Hybrid around La Sarthe (Sep 19)
  • Rd.3 – 2016 Cayman GT4 Clubman around Bathurst (Oct 3)
  • Rd.4 – 1956 356A Carrera Speedster around Goodwood (Oct 10)
  • Rd.5 – 1988 Le Mans 962 C around Spa (Oct 31)

The top five winners from each countries will then move to the finals sometime in December, where the finals will take place.

The winner of this finale will receive an all-expenses-paid weekend in Tokyo, which will include a Porsche Experience Centre Tokyo visit and more.

So sim racers, get ready to give it all when the Porsche Gran Turismo Cup launches next week.
