The FlexStrike wireless fight stick, the first first-party fight stick by PlayStation, has been delayed. Previously set to release on August 6 alongside Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls (published by PlayStation Studios), “unexpected production delays” has caused the FlexStrike fight stick to miss the launch date, with no new date given.
The amended PlayStation Blog post announcing this delay reads:
“We’re working to ensure we deliver the best possible experience to our players with FlexStrike, so we’re taking extra time to put the finishing touches on the product. We apologize for this delay and look forward to bringing the FlexStrike experience to the community when it launches. “
It’s rare to see a physical game controller getting delayed. It’s usually video games that slip from their advertised release dates.
Gamer Matters have seen the FlexStrike fight stick in person during the preview event for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls last month, though it was only for display.
