Move over NES Classic and Neo-Geo Mini. Sony is now jumping in the mini-consoles of the past bandwagon too. The Playstation Classic is a miniature PlayStation with 20 built-in games.
The Playstation Classic is shrunken down to 45% of its original size. It features an HDMI port, two controllers (the pre-DualShock ones, so no analog sticks) and all the three buttons but with new functions. Reset now suspends a game. Open won’t open the console lid but now boots you to the game select screen. It will also have all the familiar packaging of the original console.
The 5 of the 20 games are revealed. There are:
- Final Fantasy VII
- Jumping Flash
- Ridge Racer Type 4
- Tekken 3
- Wild Arms

If you’re pining for the good old intro noises and a new way to play Wild Arms and R4, here you go. It will be sold for $99.99 USD (That’s roughly RM414.31) and available on December 3rd.
Playstation Asia has also confirmed that the pricing in Malaysia will be RM429 and will be released on the same date in the country as well as the rest of Southeast Asia.
