Remember when the old Hitman games lets you play the game in first-person perspective? Developer IO Interactive is sort-of bringing that back for Hitman 3.
Revealed at the August 2020 State Of Play is Hitman VR. Hitman 3, when it launches this January, will have PS VR support. Here’s a tease of what to expect.
Hitman 3 will allow you to play Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2 levels you own (and carry over progress). IO Interactive has confirmed that this will also be true for Hitman VR. All Hitman 3 levels, plus the levels you own in the World Of Assassination Trilogy, will all have VR support.
That doesn’t mean Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2 players get VR support, however. Those levels only have VR support via Hitman 3.
Now you can walk the catwalk in Paris, or block bullets using a frying pan, in VR. Garroting someone wouldn’t be as fun as the silly shenanigans you can have Agent 47 do, however.
Hitman 3 launches in January 2021 for the PS4 (with PS VR support), PS5 PC (Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Stadia.
