Io Interactive has officially announced Hitman 3, which they will be self-publishing. This will be the end of the World Of Assassination trilogy comprised of the 2016 reboot and 2018’s Hitman 2.
The announce trailer is very story heavy, but it gives glimpses of what the locations that will be available in this sandbox murder game. A skyscraper, a clubhouse, a cosy mansion tucked in a countryside and a raining city of with neon signs, possibly somewhere in Asia.
There will be six new locations for Hitman 3, and all Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2 levels can be played in Hitman 3, should you own the previous games. Additionally, progression from Hitman 2 can be carried over to Hitman 3.
There’s another short gameplay trailer, showcasing that skyscraper level, set in Dubai. You can see Agent 47 climbing the exterior, with guards walking around the edges of the building (with no guardrails). Inside is a posh party happening, where you can slip with the crowd, provided you changed from the parachuting gear to a more apporpriate getup.
Hitman 3 will be out in January 2021 for the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
