Planet Coaster, the Cities: Skylines of theme park builder/management sim, is coming to consoles, including the next-gen ones. And Frontier is showcasing a new gameplay trailer for it.
It’s not much, just a minute over with mostly beauty shots, but you can see glimpses of the UI and how placing attractions should work. The little UI we see looks a lot like the PC version, most likely tailored to play with a controller.
As long as it works, and not do something silly like The Sims 4 did, it should be fine.
Frontier also released a few screenshots of Planet Coaster: Console Edition. The original screenshots are all in 4K (we resized them for the site) and outside of the button prompts it looks very similar to the PC version.
This should mean console players get access to all the same powerful tools that the game is renown for.
Planet Coaster: Console Edition release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X later this year, Holiday 2020.
