Persona 5 Coming 15th September In Japan

In the recent livestream event that was teased with a countdown earlier, we have now proper information on the upcoming JRPG. Persona 5 will be releasing on September 15 in Japan, but no word on the release date elsewhere.

To mark the occasion, a new trailer is released showing even more gameplay footage, as well introducing the rest of the cast. Yes, there are more potential waifus to choose from.

Check it out below.

Check out this interview video too. It’s all in Japanese, but it showcases more gameplay, including the new battle interface and that cool new victory screen where the protagonist just hustles after the battle and rushes on.

In other news, there’s a collector’s edition, an artbook, an upcoming anime tie-in (P5 The Animation) with a prologue episode releasing before the game hits shelves, an orchestra tour playing the songs of Persona and a Persona 20th anniversary festival in December.

More news on the worldwide release should come soon as Persona 5 is scheduled to make an appearance at E3 this June.

Interesting to see the choice of date to release Persona 5, as the Japan release is certainly close to another big JRPG, Final Fantasy XV. That will release worldwide on September 30.

Persona 5 will be releasing only on the PS4 and PS3.
