The rumours are true. Atlus is bringing Persona 4 Golden to PC. In fact, they already had, it’s out now on Steam.
The 2012 JRPG (and PS Vita) classic is the definitive release of the 2008 PS2 original, with a bunch of added content. Like what Atlus did with Catherine: Full Body and Persona 5 Royal.
Persona 4 Golden takes you to the small Japanese countryside town of Inaba which recently being rocked by murder cases. As a school student, go to school, enjoy life, make friends with schoolmates and the townspeople as you unravel a murder mystery tied to the mysterious Midnight Channel.
If you’ve only played Persona 5, Persona 4 Golden is worth checking out just for the shift in tone. P5 is about embracing that inner rebel and fighting the establishment, whereas P4 is more of a coming-of-age tale of embracing your inner self, flaws and all. Plus, it’s bright aesthetic and banging soundtrack inspired by J-Pop and J-Rock will sure make your day.
Persona 4 Golden is out now on Steam for RM79. The release includes audio for Japanese voiceovers on top of English ones. So if you prefer subs over dubs, Atlus got your back here.
Sega (which Atlus is a part of) has been bringing in PC ports of its Japanese-made games over the few years, like bringing the Yakuza series to PC, which will continue with the upcoming Yakuza: Like A Dragon.
