Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous Will Launch Kickstarter Campaign On February 4th

Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous is the follow-up to the CRPG Pathfinder: Kingmaker, based on the Pathfinder tabletop system by Paizo.

And just like the predecessor, Owlcat Games is seeking additional funding of the game via Kickstarter.

As explained on the website, this isn’t to fund the game entirely- the game is already in development with several in-game screenshots now available. The simplest explanation is the developers want the “next game to become better than the previous one in every aspect.”

Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous will take place during a time where mortals wage war with demons on a crusade. What will set this apart from the CRPGs of its ilk is the scale.

The Kingdom Management system from Pathfinder: Kingmaker is returning for Wrath Of The Righteous. But rather just build a kingdom, this time it’s reclaiming land from the demons during a crusade. Capturing a fortified city will be resource-intensive, which is something to be considered. Alliances can be made with other kingdoms, and this will affect how your relationship with your companions will be.

It’s still a CRPG where you build a character based on various classes, recruit companions and explore dungeons. But you have a crusade to run to purge of the literal devils. Sounds intriguing.

Expect the Kickstarter campaign start for Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous will be accompanied by more game details, including a gameplay trailer. The Kickstarter will launch on February 4th.
