A surprising announcement has been made by the Overwatch team has they have announced a limited-time classic mode, aptly titled “Overwatch: Classic”.
Like how Fortnite brings back their classic iteration into their rotation every few season, this new mode sees players getting to play the original 6v6 matches with the launch day characters and maps that the game had way back in 2016.
And like back then, there will be no limits to characters in a team, so welcome back Team Torbjorn.
This also includes the characters reusing their original abilities, some are which have been tweaked during the transition to its current version. So the likes of Mercy able to revive everyone once again and Bastion’s switchable form before it’s rework are within this new mode, along with the ability to have two tanks, this makes it quite of a look back for those still playing this game today.
The current limited time mode starts today, November 12, and will last until December 3. Overwatch 2 is free-to-play on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch.
