Obsidian has been working on a brand-new IP with Take-Two’s new publishing arm Private Division. And it looks like the project will get a proper reveal at The Game Awards next week.
This project dates before the Obsidian was acquired by Microsoft. So it could still be a multi-platform release.

The ever-so-cheeky Obsidian Twitter account pointed out an ‘ad’ that is running on their official site. That is referring to a pop-up countdown leading to The Game Awards where their new game is set to be unveiled.

Whatever this new Obsidian game is, at least we know that it is space-themed with an old timey aesthetic. A literal space cowboy game? Maybe.
We will find out soon enough what the game is at The Game Awards airing on December 6th. At least 10 new games will be announced on the show, including this one and possibly a new Alien game.
