Nvidia has been pushing its Nvidia Reflex tech, where supported games get reduced input latency. Something you don’t want to be pushing big numbers, especially for competitive gaming use.
Back in February, Nvidia allowed GeForce graphics card users the ability to monitor system latency, the overall input lag. This requires an Nvidia Reflex-supported monitor and requires you to plug your mouse directly into the USB port of the said monitor.
Today, with the latest version of the GeForce Experience app, select games can now have that stat breakdown via Nvidia Reflex Stats. This includes system latency (overall input lag) and average PC latency (lag not caused by mouse input or the display).
However, the new Nvidia Reflex Stats only supports games that have updated to Reflex SDK 1.6, which are at the moment limited to the following titles:
- Bright Memory Infinite
- Fortnite
- Rust
- Valorant
Nvidia is committed to bringing down system latency, with new gaming mice and displays now having Nvidia Reflex support for latency monitoring.
With Nvidia Reflex Stats, anyone playing the supported PC games can just look at a glance at how many milliseconds of input lag there is at any given time, without having to do the ridiculous setup process for power users.
