Something for Nintendo fans to cheer about. The Nintendo President, Tatsumi Kimishima says that the Switch’s online service will be priced at around 2-3,000 yen (RM 78.76- RM 188.13) yearly, according to Asian Nikkei and Twitter user, Dr.Serikan Toto.
President Kimishima says that the yearly fees make it easier for Nintendo to support online features such as multiplayer or downloads of classic games. But considering the price, the new Nintendo Online service is far cheaper than both Playstation Plus (RM130 a year) and Xbox Live (RM223 for 12 months) but we shall see how the new Nintendo Online compares to it’s rivals this Fall.
The Nintendo Switch will launch on March 3, with an free online trial period starting around the same time.
