Nintendo Switch’s Paid Online Service Coming This September

Enjoy multiplayer matches while it's still free

Nintendo’s online service for the Nintendo Switch finally has a date. So far, all Switch owners are allowed to experience online multiplayer for free. With the launch of Nintendo Switch Online, players need to subscribe to a monthly service for not just online multiplayer, but also various benefits such as a free game for each month.

It is the equivalent to Sony’s Playstation Plus and Microsoft’s Xbox Live Gold subscriptions.

The service was announced through a tweet, as seen here.

The online service was set to arrive late last year but has since been delayed. So enjoy the multiplayer of Splatoon 2, Arms and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe without the extra payment until September.
