Nintendo Of America President Reggie Fils-Aime Is Retiring, Replaced By Doug Bowser
Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo Of America, has announced that he will be retiring from his position on April 15th. Seen as a clear figurehead of the company, hosting various events and Nintendo Directs, he is also remembered for actively engaging with the gaming community. To the point of embracing memes.
Fils-Aime announced his retirement and named the person taking over his position in this video:

“I leave in good health and good spirits,” Fils-Aime said in the video. “And believe me, my body is still ready.
“In April, I’ll be dropping the title that meant so much to me: President of Nintendo Of America. But I’ll retain one that means even more: Nintendo fan.”
Doug Bowser will be taking over as President of Nintendo Of America. Seriously, his name is Bowser, ominously enough.
Bowser joined Nintendo in 2015 as Vice President of Sales. Prior to that, he has worked at EA and Procter & Gamble. In the video above, carefully selected pictures of him highlight that Nintendo is definitely aware they are hiring someone who shares the surname with one of its famous villains to be President of its American branch.
