New Yakuza Kiwami Trailer Shows Off How The Remaster Looks Against The Original

The first Yakuza has now been remastered. Yakuza Kiwami first released on the PS3 and PS4 last year, and the English version is set for release later in August. The new trailer shown during E3 showcases how improved the graphics has been over the original PS2 classic that started it all.

Unlike the original English release, Kiwami will make use of only Japanese voices with English subtitles. The original game used dubs with some high quality talent (including Mark Hamill as Majima) but the new formula of having English subs are much better recieved. All the dialog is rerecorded, so it’s not just a graphics remaster.

In addition, the trailer showcases some new features and mini-games lifted from Yakuza 0, including slot car racing, and the Majima Everywhere system where you can have random fights against one tough opponent ala the Mr. Shakedown encounters.

Take a look at the trailer below:

Yakuza Kiwami will be out on August 29 for the PS4.
