New Tekken 8 Gameplay Trailer Shows Kazuya Mishima Bonding With Son

Here comes another Tekken 8 trailer, this time showcasing a face we’ve seen revealed before.

Kazuya Mishima gets hits dedicated gameplay trailer, showing some familiar and new moves he’ll be using in Tekken 8. Sure, those Electric God Wind Fists are there, but now he can turn into Devil mid-match and use laser beams. Why do you need guns or nunchucks when you can unleash your inner demon, literally?

And in true Tekken fashion, the Mishimas are fighting again. Kazuya is seen here giving a proper beatdown to his son Jin Kazama, just like his old man Heihachi did to him (and he fought back). After going at it for this long, we’ll just put this as “family tradition” rather than “domestic abuse”.

Joke aside, Tekken 8 continues to impress graphically. The title will be next-gen only, leaving the PS4 and Xbox One behind. From the flashy particle effects to the lavish background- this time in the middle of Times Square in New York City- being destroyed over time. It’s quite the looker, which should be good enough incentive to get more folks into fighting games.

Previously, Bandai Namco revealed Nina Williams, and gives a thorough breakdown of the new gameplay changes to this entry of the long-running 3D fighting game.

Tekken 8 is expected to release sometime in 2023 for the PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S.
